pasta
chicken livers
zucchini or other veggies
olive oil
basil
garlic powder
seasoned salt
Chicken livers:
Pour a little olive oil in a pan. Sprinkle seasoned salt or whatever your favorite “meat” seasonings are. Heat oil and spices, then add livers. Cook on high heat on both sides until browned, then turn heat down and let cook for a little while longer.
Veggies:
Saute in olive oil with some basil and garlic powder.
Serve with the veggies over the pasta, and livers next to it.
We use cubes of frozen basil from Trader Joe’s.
Use Seasoned Salt or your favorite meat seasonings. We use Spice Islands season salt, or garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a little celery salt.
Use egg-free pasta if needed. Verify ingredients of any premixed seasoning.
Egg Substitutions: There are many egg-free products and foods available to make your recipes free of eggs. Find out more about
egg substitutions.
Gluten: Gluten is a protein found in specific grains (wheat, spelt, kamut, barley, rye). Other grains are naturally gluten-free but may have cross-contact with gluten-containing grains. Look for certified gluten-free products if you need to avoid gluten. Find out more about
wheat and gluten substitutions.
