Base:
1/2 cup soy milk
1 cup apples, chopped
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp margarine
2 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
Syrup:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup hot water
1 Tbsp margarine
Mix all base ingredients together in a non-greased baking dish – 2 qt glass casserole or 9″ round cake pan.
Mix syrup ingredients, and pour over base.
Bake at 350 °F for 35 minutes.
This is a dense moist cake with a caramel type syrup.
