Mix all ingredients in a bowl and then press into a loaf pan. Bake for about 60 minutes until top begins to brown and internal temperature is 165 F.
The meat will come out of the oven with a lot of liquid around it. Do not drain until the meat is done or it will end up dry.
Notes
Sweet chili sauce is generally in the Asian section. The brand I found looked like it had no corn but I’m no expert.
Can be eaten hot or cold.
Substitutions
Can be made into meatballs instead of a loaf and baked on a rimmed baking sheet or 9 x 13 pan.
If you can eat fish, Worcestershire sauce or Oyster sauce can be used instead of soy.
Other sweeteners you can use: Agave syrup or brown sugar or any other liquid sugar. I don’t think granulated sugar would dissolve enough.
Corn Substitutions: Corn is a common ingredient in products. Starch, modified food starch, dextrin and maltodextrin can be from corn. Consult with your physician to find out which corn derivatives you need to avoid. Many corn-free options are available in the US. Find out more about corn substitutions.
