Lebanese-Esque Ground Beef

1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 lb ground beef
2 sprigs fresh mint
1 Tbsp parsley (optional)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup cooked white rice (optional)


Saute the onion, celery, mint and parsley in the olive oil. Add ground beef and rice and sautee until meat is brown. Add salt/pepper to taste.



You could substitute any spice that is safe and might add a kick: oregano, sage, cilantro, etc. Also you could throw in tomatoes or zucchini.
