Ingredients

1/2 tsp baking soda
pinch cayenne pepper
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup onion soup mix
ground black pepper
2 Tbsp margarine
1 egg yolk
1 1/4 cups cornmeal
1/4 cup potato flour
1 Tbsp lemon juice
safe hot dogs
cooking oil for frying

Directions

Mix all ingredients except hot dogs and oil to make a batter. Chop hot dogs into 1-inch pieces and dry on paper towel. Form dough around dog. You might have to add a touch more broth to get it to a nice dough you can handle. Drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown.

Notes

They were so good, and thought you could do a corn dog type on a stick….fill with chili, or cut out onion and add taco meat in.
