4 very ripe bananas
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt


Peel bananas and place in large self-sealing plastic bag; freeze overnight.

Slice frozen bananas. In food processor with knife blade attached, blend bananas, syrup, vanilla and salt until creamy – about 2 minutes.

Serve immediately or freeze. Makes about 3 cups.


I didn’t serve it immediately – I put it in small cups with lids and put them in the freezer.
