Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 13-x 9-inch pan.
In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, water and applesauce. Beat 50 strokes by hand. Spread in prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven 21 to 23 minutes. Do not over bake. Cool completely.
In medium bowl, beat 1 cup frosting and cream cheese until well blended. Stir in whipped topping until well blended. Spread evenly over top of cooled brownies. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt remaining frosting 5-15 seconds or until of drizzling consistency. Drizzle with spoon over filling. Refrigerate 1 hour or until set.
Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator. Makes 48 bars.
