Annika’s Barbecue Sauce

1 44 oz bottle ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup vinegar
3 bay leaves, crushed
1 Tbsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp salt
1 19 oz can crushed pineapple, including juice
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp ginger


Put all ingredients in large cooking pot. Use a pan larger than you think you will need. Cook on medium-high, stirring occasionally, until this boils. Be sure to supervise so this does not boil over.

You can process this in a water-bath if desired for 20 minutes, or just store in the refrigerator if unprocessed.
