Grease well a 9" x 11" pan with safe margarine or cooking spray.
In bowl, mix Cheerios and chocolate chips together.
In large pot, melt margarine and marshmallows.
Immediately, mix Cheerios/chocolate chip mixture into marshmallow mixture.
Pat into greased pan. It is easiest to do this with greased wax paper.
Notes
These are similar to s'mores.
Remember to use safe cooking spray on the pan and to use wax paper to press them down...they are really sticky!
Substitutions
To make these wheat-free, use safe O-style cereal.
To make these egg-free, use egg-free marshmallows.
To make these fish/shellfish free, use marshmallows that are not based on fish gelatin.
