Recipe Created By: Jen

Ingredients

1 Tbsp cooking oil (such as rice oil, olive oil, canola oil)
1 cup organic brown rice syrup
6 cups organic gluten-free crispy brown rice cereal

Directions

Grease the bottom of a 9x13 pan using shortening or cooking oil (such as rice oil, olive oil or canola oil).

Add oil and rice syrup to a 2.5 quart saucepan and heat on medium-high stirring constantly until mixture becomes frothy (approximately 3 minutes). Continue stirring and heating for an additional minute. Remove from heat.

NOTE: If you prefer more chewy treats, remove from heat earlier. If you prefer more crunchy treats, continue to heat longer.

Add the crispy rice cereal to the oil and rice syrup mixture and stir.

Pour mixture into the greased 9x13 pan.

Grease a small plastic bag or piece of plastic wrap with shortening or cooking oil (such as rice oil, olive oil or canola oil). Using the greased plastic, flatten out rice crispy treat mixture into the pan.

Let cool and enjoy!

Substitutions

Gluten: Gluten is a protein found in specific grains (wheat, spelt, kamut, barley, rye). Other grains are naturally gluten-free but may have cross-contact with gluten-containing grains.
