Recipe Created By: Kathy Przywara

Ingredients

1 cup Kathy P's All Purpose Baking Mix
1 Tbsp sugar, white or brown
2 Tbsp margarine, softened
1/3 cup water
2 Tbsp preserves, any flavor
Vanilla Glaze (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 °F.

Combine baking mix and sugar. Work in margarine with pastry blender or fingers. Stir in water and beat 20 strokes.

Drop dough by heaping tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. This will make 6 danish. With wet spoon, make a well in the center of each and fill with 1 tsp preserves.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to rack to cool. While warm, drizzle with Vanilla Glaze.

Notes

This should work with any Bisquick type baking mix, but was developed to be made with Kathy P's All-Purpose Baking Mix. Top with Vanilla Glaze.

Substitutions

You can serve these without the vanilla glaze, but the glaze make a pretty presentation. For a quicker version, sprinkle tops with some raw or demerara sugar before baking for that little extra sweetness.

Use safe baking mix or make All Purpose Baking Mix with suitable ingredients.
