1 1/4 cup flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
powdered sugar
Mix dry ingredients. Beat egg and milk and add to dry ingredients until smooth.
Fry 1/4 cup at a time. While pouring into the oil, move batter in a circular motion -- you are trying to make a ring.
Flip over and remove when brown. Drain. Cover with powdered sugar.
