Ingredients
1 lb ground round beef
2 cups water
1 medium onion, diced
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 green pepper, diced
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
In a deep skillet with a lid, I prefer cast iron, brown the ground meat. Stir in the diced onion and green peppper cook them until they are tender. Pour in water, macaroni, and barbecue sauce stir to mix well.
Cover and simmer mixture until the macaroni is tender, about eight minutes. If you like parmesan cheese you can stir it in the macaroni mixture or sprinkle it on top.

Substitutions
To make this recipe milk-free, omit the parmesan cheese or use a vegan version.
