1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup water
2 cups frozen raspberries


Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to boil over medium low heat breaking up the berries with a spoon. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly then transfer to the carafe of a blender. Puree mixture. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Place in refrigerator to cool until ready to use.


This is a tart and sweet sauce that works very well with chocolate. It can be used as a sauce over ice cream or as the base for a brownie sundae.
