Recipe Created By: Karen Ramirez
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup water or dairy-free milk alternative
1 cup olive oil
3 cups flour
Directions
Mix well all the ingredients and form into small balls or any shape you like. Or, make a roll with the dough and cut with a knife into small pieces. Place cookies on cookie sheet. You can sprinkle sugar on top. Bake at 350 °F for 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly golden brown on top.
I sometimes use confectionery sugar instead of granulated sugar to make them softer.
Notes
Substitutions
Gluten: Gluten is a protein found in specific grains (wheat, spelt, kamut, barley, rye). Other grains are naturally gluten-free but may have cross-contact with gluten-containing grains. Look for certified gluten-free products if you need to avoid gluten. Find out more about wheat and gluten substitutions [1].
Milk and Soy Substitutions: Alternative dairy-free milk beverages and products will work in most recipes. Find out more about milk substitutions [2] and soy substitutions [3].
