Cranberry Orange Sauce

1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 cup water
2/3-1 cup sugar
1 bag fresh cranberries


Combine orange juice, water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add cranberries and reduce heat. Cover and simmer until cranberries have "popped". Cool and serve.


I have also used a full cup of orange juice and no water, then cut down the amount of sugar to about 1/2 cup. It makes a sweeter sauce and you can taste the orange a bit better.
