1 12 oz can tomato paste
1 29 oz can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1 to 2 tsp fennel seed, crushed
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
In saucepan over medium heat, combine tomato sauce and paste. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cool. Pour into freezer containers. Freeze up to 12 months.
I find that fennel makes the sauce taste authentic
