Ingredients
1 1/4 cups warm water
2 Tbsp margarine
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup oats
2 tsp yeast (or pkg yeast)
pinch gluten with vitamin C (optional)
Directions
Make according to bread machine instructions. Make sure the water is warm, around 110 °F.
Notes
We use Organic Nature’s Balance margarine.
Substitutions
Brown sugar can be replaced with honey or sugar.
The all purpose flour can be replaced with 2 1/2 cups bread flour plus 1/2 cup whole wheat flour.
The oats may be instant or any other type.
